After an extensive career as a professional basketball player, coach, and sports executive, Erik T. Rashad J.D M.Ed. ventured into Corporate America and Educational Leadership. Dr. Rashad has worked with 2 Fortune 500 companies as a project manager. In addition to his managerial experience, he has served as Chief Compliance Officer (COO) and Deputy Superintendent of at-risk charter schools in Florida. Dr. Rashad has had stints at prestigious universities of higher education such as the University of Texas Medical Center and Florida A&M University, and California State University at Los Angeles serving in numerous leadership roles.

Dr. Rashad has mediated countless cases over 15 years. In addition to serving on arbitration panels in the US and internationally. He has traveled to 46 countries and lived in 11 while having the distinction of having coached 3 national basketball teams in addition to assisting international professional athletes and coaches in filing arbitration cases to the tribunal in Switzerland. Dr. Rashad is a certified Mediator and Arbitrator by the Florida Supreme Court and is a member of the Virgil Hawkins Bar Association and International Mediators and Arbitrators Association in addition to serving as CEO of Youth Keepers of America Inc. (YKOA) which is a non-profit organization. He is on the roster of alternative dispute resolution specialist for the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS), which has oversight of the insurance industry, in addition to serving all 3 regional judicial districts in Florida.

Dr. Rashad’s Vision is to put mediators, arbitrators, staff, programs and services together to offer a top-flight alternative dispute resolution practice.
